Carved Mural for Harry Merlo residence in Portland, Oregon.
As CEO of Louisiana-Pacific Corporation Harry commissioned several large carved murals for their offices and this one for his home to portray his beloved Redwood forest.
When Luciano Pavarotti, the famed tenor, was a dinner guest Harry said that he called the mural, "The most beautiful thing I have ever seen." A gracious exaggeration of course but much appreciated by us both.
The wood is, of course, Redwood and the mural is 28 feet x 8 1/2 feet
